Thursday, February 02, 2006 ::: PUMP IT ... is Black Eyed Peas' new video. It's HMV's clear out sale again. Go and pick up loads of Westlife, Mel C, Atomic Kitten... all for no more than $45. Went to YMCA for a long promised/overdue swim. At least that's a start. I'm sure all of you who has walked past Nathan road in TST should've already seen/witnessed/experienced the crazy promotion scheme by that big fitness club. Yes they hand you promo card for free 7 day trial and invite you to a lucky draw then persuade you to join, and if you show any sign of hesitancy, they just try to force you. Conversation would go like this: "And this is now being called the JC club. You know why? Cuz Jacky Chan bought the club". I'm not a fan so I'm not remotely interested in anything related to JC. Actually I'm quite put off by it. "So what do you think about our charges?" So they're making it so obvious that their charges are open for negotiation. Even their monthly fee can be negotiated. "So how much are you willing to pay?" Uh. Is that an option? "What's there to think about?" Er, I think I'm quite sane and I do need time to think before spending more than a thousand on a membership? "Even if I leave you my number I'm 100% sure you ain't calling back." Yea right, so it's my problem now that I'm not joining? I was PULLED IN in the first place. And the gift they promised was pretty much non-existent. Not that I got in for the gift anyway.
